Sugoroku Tournament in Japanese Dept, February
At the beginning of February, we held a Sugoroku (a Japanese backgammon-esque game) tournament for second-year students of the Japanese Department.
The students were asked to move on the Sugoroku map, and work as a team to complete a mission written on the spot they are standing on. If they failed the mission, they had to go back one pace!
Challenges varied from Japanese quizzes and gestures to sit-ups and rope jumping.
We saw the students enjoying talking with people from other classes with whom they do not usually interact😊
